Letter of Appreciation from the Minister of Foreign Affairs to Physicians at Nagasaki University

On April 7, a ceremony was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to present a letter of appreciation from the Minister of Foreign Affairs to members of the Japan Disaster Relief Team. The Minister of Foreign Affairs presented the letter to 4 physicians and pharmacists from Nagasaki University who were dispatched as part of an infectious disease control team to respond to an outbreak of measles in Samoa.

From Nagasaki University Hospital, Dr. Hirotomo Yamanashi, instructor in the Department of General Medicine / Institute of Tropical Medicine (Nekken-naika) (Medical Representative for First Unit), Dr. Takeshi Tanaka, Associate Professor at the Nagasaki University Hospital Infection Control and Education Center (Medical Representative for Second Unit), and Dr. Momoko Yamauchi, Assistant Professor at the School of Tropical Medicine and Global Health, Institute of Tropical Medicine, Nagasaki University, are participants in the infectious disease control team.
