Reception procedures
【Foreign national patients must contact a Registered Guarantor to receive medical consultation】
Foreign national patients not enrolled in Japan’s public medical insurance program, and wish to receive consultation and treatment at our facilities, must make arrangements through a Registered Guarantor which specializes in coordinating these visits. This is to insure we can provide worry-free and safe medical services to our patients.
Nagasaki University Hospital has an operations collaboration agreement with Emergency Assistance Japan (EAJ) and all formalities required to receive medical attention will be taken care of by the hospital and EAJ.
Foreign national patients who wish to receive consultation and treatment must consult with EAJ first. If you contact us directly, we will still have to refer you to EAJ. Also, please understand that the coordination fees will be borne by the patient.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in making the consultation and treatment process proceed as smoothly as possible.
【Note】
Our hospital uses Emergency Assistance Japan (EAJ) as the sole contact entity for foreign national patient acceptance.
Please be aware that even if the patient has retained a 『Non-Japanese International Medical Coordinator』、 EAJ will be providing patient admittance coordination and liaison with the hospital conforming to consultations held between EAJ and the 『Non-Japanese International Medical Coordinator』
